AutheNick is an interview-style program that explores “all things recovery”. The genesis of the show is the idea: if you are still living and breathing on Earth, you are in recovery from something. Each episode explores a topic in which the guest shares their experience, strength and hope as it pertains to what they are in recovery from. The goal of each show is to inform, smash stigma and provide hope using first-hand testimony.
Bridget B shares her experience, strength and hope as a survivor of sexual assault, and her personal journey as the wife of an alcoholic. Addiction does NOT affect the addict only. It is a family affair.
Chris G. shares his experience, strength and hope pertaining to his recovery from alcoholism, sexual assault, and the death of his mother. (the nervous and reluctant interviewees are always the best)
Michelle discusses her history as a survivor of childhood abuse. Subsequently, she speaks on exposing the taboo topics of self harm, suicide and chemical dependency in the African-American community. She's starting a revolution, get involved.
Pete continues his story of strength and HOPE! Discussing his father's suicide, family dysfunction and his alcoholism, Pete brings light, love and growth that few possess.
Pete shares his story of getting sober after 37 years of drinking. His so-called "shit show" of a family may explain a little. He explains it all.
Liz continues her story sharing her strength and hope as a mother in recovery from drug addiction and alcoholism.
Ali shares her experience, strength and hope addressing her behavioral disorders and addictions. She is well traveled. She is well spoken. She is an independent woman and a force to be reckoned with, believe me.
