AutheNick is an interview-style program that explores “all things recovery”. The genesis of the show is the idea: if you are still living and breathing on Earth, you are in recovery from something. Each episode explores a topic in which the guest shares their experience, strength and hope as it pertains to what they are in recovery from. The goal of each show is to inform, smash stigma and provide hope using first-hand testimony.
In Part 2, Tim G. shares the strength portion of his story. Having 40 years of sobriety and clean time, according to him, does not mean all life's worries and problems are solved. Music: Madness BY Muse Riding With The King BY John Hiatt
In Part 1, Tim G. shares the experience portion of his story. He has been clean sober since 1981, but has had many relapses of a different variety. Tim truly can do anything he puts his mind to, especially long-term sobriety.
T.J. shares his experience, strength and hope in his lifelong recovery journey after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) 50 years ago. His strength to live his best life comes from his God, his family and his job.
Thanks to the Content and Production Director at KFAI, I have found one of my very first AutheNick recordings. My dear friend Tim C, left his earthly body behind on Thanksgiving Day of this year, 2020. I knew, after his passing, that I HAD TO recover his episode. With immense gratitude and love, I share with you, Tim C. Wanted Dead or Alive. Sex, drugs, rock 'n' roll, divorce(s), alcohol and...hope.
Jim R. follows up his experience segment in Part 1 with his strength and hope in Part 2. Jim finally got sober at the age of 58 after a lifetime in active alcoholism. He has entered his "renaissance period", being sober 18 months 16 days and, most importantly, TODAY. (12/14/20) Also, it's about time I had the privilege to interview a fellow Wisconsinite. Music: Madness BY Muse In The Garden BY Van Morrison Bright Side Of The Road BY Van Morrison
Jim R, a friend of a friend that's now my friend, shares the experience portion of his story. Jim finally got sober at the age of 58 after a lifetime in active alcoholism. He has entered his "renaissance period", being sober for 18 months 9 days and today! (12/7/20) It's about time I had the privilege to interview a fellow Wisconsinite.
An OG episode of AutheNick circa April, 2019! Found in the deep archives of a long-lost USB drive: "Joe Younglove, Old Soul". Joe, a fellow KFAI'er, shares a second round (I accidentally deleted the first) of his experience, strength and hope as a man in recovery as an entertainer. Don't forget to check out HIS show, REPROGRAM: with DJ Joe Yolo, on KFAI! It's amazing how far we've come. Music: Madness BY Muse Tell My Vision BY Nightmares on Wax Illumination BY Broadcast: The Future Crayon Broken Bones BY Kaleo
In part 2 of Molly G. Sings A.A.capella: Molly follows up the experience portion of her journey with the strength and HOPE segments. Having something I want, 39 years of continuous sobriety and clean time, I have adopted her as one of my "Recovery Moms". Molly gets real. Molly gets attention. Molly's got what you want.
