November 2015 Archives

Greg Carr spun around for a few hours up in the studio, and played some music as well.

Wonderously weird SKA covers of country & western and pop tunes from the 1960's. Japanese 1960's music featuring Nippon Girls, Psychedelia and Count Buffalo & His Jazz Rock Band (WTF?). The show was rounded off or knocked down with an all too small and short segment of female rockabilly singers recorded at Sun Studios.

A delightful set of poor vinyl quality Brazillian records from the 1950's started this show off.  Some of this music sounds like it could have been played in the best elevators and dental offices in Rio De Janeiro. Great stuff with amazing album covers. The middle part of the show was a set of Spanish language SKA tunes from Spain and South & Central America.
