Another special night in the Echo Chamber as we featured an interview of Eric Blowtorch (following his show in Minneapolis); a bunch of new Echo Beach:http://www.echobeach.de/ music; and a number of other new releases by the likes of Masia One, Nkulee Dube, Jazmin Solar/Sanchez Dub, and others…
Tonight we were honored to debut the excellent new The Lion of Judah Hath Prevailed EP from The Process meets Ghetto Priest. Also, played the extended version of “Most Dangerous Man/Free Up Yu Mind” from Eric Blowtorch & Prince Jazzbo (to announce Eric’s Minneapolis appearance 4/10), and debuted the heavy new Dub Is A Weapon album “Vaporized”.
Another night filled with a bunch of new dub… Starting off with the new Bandulu Dub remix album “Volcanic Eruptions” (on Dan Dada Records), Sardinia Bass Legalize’s new “Timeline” EP (aquietbump), and the very cool “Marijuana Dreams” from Dubblestandart (Echo Beach).
Tonight the Echo Chamber presented the annual “Word Beat I Powa” dub poetry, beat poetry, and spoken word special to celebrate National Poetry Month. Of course, it was dub poetry that set the foundation of the show, featuring poets Oku Onoura, Mutabaruka, Jean Binta Breeze, Jazzmin Tutum, Malachi Smith, Glenville Bryan, Lady Dawn, and of course, the incomparable Linton Kwesi Johnson.
