Ian Graham Leask, Charlotte Sullivan, Antonia Felix and Steve McEllistrem speak about The Best American Poetry, 2012, which Mark Doty edited with David Lehman. We had hoped to have Mark Doty call in, but he was unable to do so. He is an accomplished poet and memoirist. He’s written a dozen books of poetry and he’s won numerous awards, including the T.S. Eliot Prize for Poetry. He was also a finalist for a National Book Award for My Alexandria.
We also speak with Anita Silvey about her Children’s Book-A-Day Almanac. She is a well-known editor and critic in children’s literature. She has also authored a number of books about children’s literature, including 500 Great Books for Teens and The Essential Guide to Children’s Books and Their Creators.
