It's a chance to give securely and easily on-line, and organizers have a lot of fun planned for donors and non-profit organizations, like KFAI. When you Broadcast Your Support for KFAI by giving through GiveMN.org, your "Give to the Max Day" gift can be more significant in a couple of ways:
$1,000 will be given to a random donor's charity every hour. You could be that donor!
Your donation on November 16th could put KFAI on the leader board to win $2,500 or even $5,000 for the most number of donors giving to our nonprofit.
KFAI will give special prizes to the 90th and 106th donors through GiveMN on "Give to the Max Day."
For KFAI, Broadcasting Your Support to the Max helps us to build strong community partnerships like the one we have with Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, training the next generation of media producers.
For KFAI, Broadcasting Your Support to the Max is a chance to give recognition to hardworking volunteers who broadcast music and award-winning news every day. Without support from donors, our news department would not have been able to win three "Page One" awards this year from the Society for Professional Journalists for reporting on racial disparities in south Minneapolis; creating a profile of University of Minnesota professor and Indian ghazal singer Dr. Pooja Goswami-Pavan; and, documenting the rarified world of 78-rpm records enthusiasts.
For KFAI, Broadcasting Your Support to the Max keeps the music coming, in all genres, in all traditions, to all of our ears.
Visit the "Give to the Max Day" KFAI page on GiveMN.org. Watch some of the fun videos posted there and then add your financial contribution to keep your community radio strong. You just might win the $1,000 Golden Ticket!
Gifts to KFAI are tax-deductible. Thanks to generous donors like you, KFAI grew from 10 watts broadcasting to south Minneapolis in 1978, to 900 watts today, bringing music, information, and culture, from all over the world, to all over the Twin Cities. We would not be here without you, thank you!
