  • Minneapolis band Valet has a new album coming out called “The Truth Might Not Be Here,” which it will release Friday, July 10 at the Turf Club. Valet is sharing the bill with Gramophone, Whatever Forever, and Guante. The show starts at 8 p.m.  “The Truth Might not be Here” is also available for download. Valet's Robin Kyle stopped by the Thursday Morning Blend with his guitar to play something that will be on the new record.

  • More than 50 volunteer singers comprise the Minneapolis-based Prairie Fire Lady Choir.  They sing everything from Metallica to Prince and perform at record stores, zombie pub crawls, and protests.  Rather than employing an artistic director, the choir uses consensus decision-making to guide their collective musical vision.  KFAI’s Ryan Dawes spoke with members of the choir at a recent rehearsal.

He will be performing at Lee's Liquor Lounge that night for the first time in two years. Dale will stop by the station to talk to Ken about his 20 years in the country music business, his songwriting and his latest album Call Me Insane.
