Eclectic

Once again Dave Roberts is manning the cockpit of Jet Set Planet's very own Pleasure Craft and he's steering a course stright for Adventure, Mystery and down right Salacious Fun!

In anticipation of the impending visit from Salif Keita GB opens w/ his music and follows that with music from his African nation, Mali.  Other highlights include Ukrainian trad-art-rock group, Dakha Brakha, also returning at the end of the month, to the Dakota… and 3 tracks from Spanish vocalist Silvia Perez Cruz !

Kicked thing off with the excellent “Dubber than Paradise” track from The Dub Master/Echorek featuring vocals from Camilla Luna Vazquez. Love this one. After that we featured new music from Mad Professor & Vivian Jones (the single “Who Can Help Them?” about Gaza); Konkrete Roots (“Rudies in Dub” on Dubophonic); Mr. Lion (“Razberry Serrotonin EP” on Svaha Sound); Jennifer Paulos & Dub Suppliaz (from the upcoming release “Echo Chamber – Around the World in Dub – V5&6”); Dub Colossus (“Addis to Omega”); Obatala Segundo & Mystica Tribe; Phil Harmony (“10 Yrs In Dub”); and Panchasila (from“La Psicotropia” [various artists] on Pakapi records). More great music from Aldubb feat. Ras Perez, Moshi Kamachi meets Empathysm, Jah Wobble & PJ Higgins, I-Roy, Little Tempo, Shpongle, m-flo, Kalya Scintilla, The Selecter, Tommy McCook, and more…

Feature Presentation – Another from the Decoder Ring Theatre's summer showcase, Mark Time Show Time, we bring you The Velveteen Submission, or The Lighthouse at the End of the Tunnel.  Two retired old time radio actors are visited by aliens who want their help.  Mistaken identity, children, and Hollywood all figure in the story from writers Jerry Stearns and Brian Price.
