Movement Music Festival opening today in Detroit

Movement Electronic Music Festival is happening in downtown Detroit, Michigan this weekend.
The festival grounds boasts 5 different stages at Hart Plaza. While the festival prepares for thousands of techno fans to arrive today, we’ll review some of the DJs and electronic music artists who will be spinning live original and mixes at Movement.
Guests will have unique chance to see British electronic duo Orbital on Saturday night. A formation of three techno legends Nicole Moudaber, Paco Osuna and Dubfire will play B3B taking the Movement stage Sunday night. The festival will showcase live sets from breakout artist Amelie Lens, DJs Loco Dice, and Stephan Bodzin are closing out Friday and Monday nights respectively. Maya Jane Coles, Art Department, and Sean Reeves B2B Ryan Crosson play live performances today and are sure to impress with deep house music.
Movement has a variety of fresh faces like Charlotte de Witte, Fisher, and Loren who will all be playing sets this Labor Day weekend.

In contrast, Movement also features live techno & house veterans Richie Hawtin, Stacey Pullen, and Kevin Saunderson.

One set that is sure to suprise is improv live production set of two Detroit hometown artists Asher Perkins and Rex Supulveda early Sunday. Both artists are signed on Richie Hawtin’s Minus label. Perkins will bring his background in Irish music performance. Supulveda brings acid techno to the forefront. The dualing set kicks off on the Pyramid stage and will sure not disappoint.
