IWD has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people. Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively around the world. Following the hashtags to find out how others are celebrating this day: #IWD2021 #ChooseToChallenge
KFAI is seeking program proposals for 24 hours of special IWD programming airing on March 8, 2021.
This year, we’re doing the bulk of the recording virtually. The average participant will have access to a computer and a microphone, headset, or headphones with a mic and a quiet space to record. KFAI will provide technical support, a recording platform, and post-recording audio engineering. We can also provide technology for you to record onsite at KFAI, or work with you to get you the tools and tech you need. No previous broadcasting experience is required.
If you have questions, please feel free to email sam@kfai.org or ndoherty@kfai.org for more information.
