KFAI is formally updating our Policies and Procedures in support of building greater Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the station
KFAI is committed to improving our processes at the station to better serve our mission and at the same time improve our transparency and commitment to accountability as well.
Because of challenging community and societal events that have been occurring since the murder of George Floyd in May of 2020, KFAI’s board and staff leadership are taking steps to improve the work we are doing at the station.
Attached below are recent Policy and Procedure changes that apply to all staff, board members, and volunteers at KFAI. These include: the Grievance Panel Recommendations for KFAI board and staff, our Diversity Statement, our new KFAI Code of Conduct, and our new KFAI Social Media/Networking Policy. All of our new Policies and Procedures were created in a joint effort of board and staff input and were approved by our Governance Committee and the Social Justice Committee.
We will also be working to revamp our website to make access to these and other changes at the station more transparent and easier to find.
This is just the start of our work to evolve as a station in support of our commitment to our mission and vision for our future.
