KFAI Black History Month Celebration 2021

KFAI Black History Month Celebration 2021

Please join us in KFAI’s Black History Month celebration!

KFAI has a tradition of celebrating Black History Month each February with a full 24-hour day of programming by KFAI hosts and self-identified members of the Twin Cities Black community. With your help, we also hope to expand the event to include additional community programming scheduled throughout the entire month. We hope to be able to provide a platform to everyone who wants it to display the multitude real of Black experiences and histories.

If you are interested in participating, you can choose to be involved in a number of ways.

1. Join the planning committee as a self-identified member of the Black community and work closely with staff to determine programming for Black History Month
2. Create a program that adds to the celebration of Black people and our history
3. Co-host with a current KFAI program host (pending program host participation) and contribute content for a program.

Interested hosts can apply to be on-air or online by completing the attached form. Shows can be presented live or recorded in advance. No previous radio experience is necessary – equipment, training, and mentorship will be provided as needed.

Fill out the form below to sign up. Please feel free to email webteam@kfai.org with any issues. Thank you for celebrating with us!
