The Nobel Peace Prize Forum is a four day international event that inspires peacemaking by celebrating the work of Nobel Peace Prize winners. Attendees may purchase tickets for a single day or for all four days. The 2014 topic is Crossing Boundaries to Create Common Ground.
In probing the questions of peace and conflict, the Forum is not a “sit and listen” experience. During plenary sessions, attendees hear firsthand of the struggles and triumphs of Laureates and other internationally known keynoters. The dynamic Q&A following these presentations engages the global audience in the experience. Just as importantly, attendees participate in highly interactive break-out sessions dedicated to both policy and practice. Robust networking with other attendees from diverse backgrounds adds a highly individual dimension.
Health and Science Day - Saturday, March 8th, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (time subject to change)
Held at Augsburg College and the University of Minnesota West Bank, this day explores the ways science and health contribute to human rights and global security. Nobel Laureate Doctors Without Borders, represented by American President Dr. Deane Marchbein, anchor the day. A second keynote address by internationally known Dr. William Foege will round off the day, with multiple vibrant break-out sessions in between. During the noon hour, attendees de-brief with friends over their own brown bags or at a local restaurant. Discount student price is available to currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students.
