Over the last 10 years, Adieu Summer Concert hosted by the group Ticket To Brasil has been an annual tradition as summer slips into autumn. Celebrating and embracing diversity through international music and dance, Adieu Summer Concert is a multicultural family event. This year’s Adieu Summer Concert features a great lineup of Bossa Nova, Hawaiian, Native American, Latin, Gypsy Jazz, and Samba music styles. The Talking Strings featuring violinist Gary Schulte and guitarist Pavel Jany (European Gypsy Jazz) will kick off the event at 4:00 p.m. At 4:30 p.m., Lau Hawaiian Collective featuring Kauai native vocalist and ukulele player Kim Sueoka take the stage for some Hawaiian music with reverence and imagination. Then it’s Ticket To Brasil at 5:15 p.m. featuring Brazilian artists Joyce Perez, Natania Kamin and Josue Alfaro with special guest Doug Little on sax, playing bossa nova, samba and Afro-Brazilian jazz. Bluesion wraps up the concert at 6:30 p.m., incorporating elements of Native American music with jazz and blues.
