A tribute to the late Teddy Pendergrass is building a bridge between Minnesota music and performance talent and Pendergrass' enduring legacy—the Philadelphis Sound.  Johnnie "JB" Brown and Roslyn Harmon, Lead Vocalist and Vocal Arranger for Love TKO: a Tribute to TEDDY PENDERGRASS and the Sounds of Philadelphia reflect on how far they have come in the making of the show and give praise and honor to those who have inspired them along the way.

Doctors for Global Health (DGHheld its 21st General Assembly in Minneapolis (MN) during one of the year's most jarring week of police brutality events—the week of Philando Castile's death.  Theme-titled Narratives on Immigration, Refugees, and Race Through the Lens of Liberation Medicine, the Assembly featured keynote addresses by Minneapolis National Association for the Advancement of Colored Peoples (NAACP) President Nekima Levy-Pounds and medical and creative writer Syl Jones. 

In this family, the women are strong as truth and as gentle as fond memory.  Their strength centers on the creative spirit engaged in food preparation, apparel design, working for the community, growing children for generations to come.  Family as generator for creative-soul enterprise: Play For Me host Brenda Bell Brown interviews four Dacotah women—#AllRelated.

Free Puppetry Workshop for Artists of Color:  22 artists.  7 Days.  Many techniques taught by several Master Puppeteers.  2 Minneapolis venues. 1 Performance.  The McKnight Foundation funded good eats.  Minneapolis-based, Sri-Lankan American artist Chamindika Wanduragala hosted the workshop and the gofundme effort to make it all happen—and plans to do it again.  You can still give to the dream.
