January 2018 Fubar Omniverse Archives

Lots of folk-gone-brass in Hour 1, including new music from local group Brass Lassie and La Bottine Souriante, from one of their legendary concerts at the turn of the century, when we had no idea who our next President would be. In Hour 2 we welcomed in Jason Medeiros and Joe Holland from Minneapolis garage group Trash Street, presenting their debut record "Live at BBQ Laundromat" and some selections from their record vaults. Plus William Shatner covering The Cramps.

Saluting the legendary trumpeter and racial justice hero Bra Hugh Masekela (April 4 1939-January 23 2018) with live tracks with his band at The Market Theatre and by artists who performed at the concert series he produced in Zaire 1974. Plus a few topical numbers for our fractured and fractious times.
