Nirmala Rajasekar is an award-winning musician specializing in South Indian Carnatic music. At the age of six she began training on the Veena-a plucked stringed instrument from the region-and has been performing around the world for more than 25 years. Today Nirmala is the artistic director for the Naadha Rasa (Esscence of Tone) Center for Music in Plymouth, Minnesota.
