Surf Stomp at the Hex featuring the Exotics and Big Surf

This month's First Saturday Surf Stomp at the Hexagon Bar promises to be a special one. The Exotics from Milwaukee have reformed for a handful of shows and the quartet will be bringing their trad surf/instro sounds to the Twin Cities for the first time in nearly a decade. Opening this month's Stomp will be host band Big Surf, with their powerful jazz- and world music-influenced instrumentals.

As always, deejay Jean of Radio Rumpus Room will be spinning surf'n'hot rod tunes before the bands and between sets, starting at 8:30 p.m. The live music begins at 9 p.m. Expect videos on the Hex's projection screen as well for a truly sense-a-round experience!

The Hexagon Bar is located at 2600 27th Avenue So. in south Minneapolis. There is no cover at Surf Stomp events.
