Please read this Agreement carefully before using the KFAI MP3 Player (the "Giving System"). This is a binding agreement (the "Agreement") between you or the entity that is using this software to listen to KFAI’s mp3 live stream ("you") and KFAI, Fresh Air Inc.("KFAI"). By using this MP3 Player, you hereby ACCEPT AND AGREE TO REFRAIN FROM DOWNLOADING ALL OR PARTS of the associated programming contained within this portion of MP3 live stream to which you will be linked after agreeing to and accepting the Agreement.

Pam Without Boundaries, hosted by Pam, features an eclectic blend of singer-songwriters, rock bands, world music, and electronic beats alongside exclusive features such as:

  • 6:30am highlights of this week's new releases: you'll go to the record store in-the-know!
  • 7:45am it's the Roe Family Radio Roundup: a little review of classic traditionals and new originals in a timely way by your friends, the Roe Family Singers, from the comforts of Studio 5.
  • 8am we're often joined by local, national or international musicians for coffee, chat and music.
  • 8:30am mid-week concert calendar, because clubs really are open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights.

If you haven't listened yet and you're up Tuesdays between 6am and 9am, drop in, we'd love to have you!

Two releases to check out if you like Sunny Day Real Estate or The Stone Roses or other dreamy rock music with big swells of sound: The Besnard Lakes and The Morning Benders. Both albums came out today, and we heard them back-to-back in the 6:00 hour this morning. We also heard new live Ben Harper & Relentless 7, new Clogs, and local music from Dark Dark Dark.

Catching up with new releases after the Black History Month celebration last week. Big thanks to Dee Henry Williams for doing a great job of starting that celebration and helping us contemplate on a Tuesday morning! Also thanks to Brenda Bell Brown, an extra-early special guest. New music this week from Shearwater, Laura Veirs, Jaga Jazzist, and one to look out for: Javelin, coming out on Luaka Bop records in April.

Some music from New Orleans and Brazil mixed in to this morning's mix of new music from 2010. We welcomed the 2nd installment of the Roe Family Singers Radio Round-Up at 7:45am, and Robert Everest came in at 8:15 to talk about the 10th annual Carnaval Brasiliero (Friday, Feb. 19th at the Fine Line). New Charlie Hunter, Wanda Jackson, and Juliana Hatfield this morning, too.
