Please read this Agreement carefully before using the KFAI MP3 Player (the "Giving System"). This is a binding agreement (the "Agreement") between you or the entity that is using this software to listen to KFAI’s mp3 live stream ("you") and KFAI, Fresh Air Inc.("KFAI"). By using this MP3 Player, you hereby ACCEPT AND AGREE TO REFRAIN FROM DOWNLOADING ALL OR PARTS of the associated programming contained within this portion of MP3 live stream to which you will be linked after agreeing to and accepting the Agreement.

Pam Without Boundaries, hosted by Pam, features an eclectic blend of singer-songwriters, rock bands, world music, and electronic beats alongside exclusive features such as:

  • 6:30am highlights of this week's new releases: you'll go to the record store in-the-know!
  • 7:30am we're often joined by local, national or international musicians for coffee, chat and music.
  • 8:30am mid-week concert calendar, because clubs really are open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights.

If you haven't listened yet and you're up Tuesdays between 6am and 9am, drop in, we'd love to have you!

Big thanks to Michael Todaro from Power Balladz for the morning conversation about power ballads--structure, lyrics, their place in rock history, and the reason he co-created a cabaret-style musical around them (running at The Lab theater through June 28th). Thanks, also, to Michael for his good sense of humor with the "power ballad off." Besides covers of Led Zeppelin and Queen, we heard new music from Raul Malo, A Fine Frenzy, and Jill Sobule this morning (thanks, Jim, for the Jill Sobule!).

New project from Garrison Starr called Among the Oak & Ash made the 6:30am list of the highlights of this week's new releases. We also heard ne Allen Toussaint and Fort King, from L.A. Thanks to those guys for coming in early and playing live, and to Larry Englund for being our St Paul Jazz Coorespondant.
