Local musical legend PaviElle has announced the upcoming release of her first album, Fear Not, which promises to be her most prominent and groundbreaking musical contribution to date. In a video from February of earlier this year, PaviElle described the importance of the album, stating that the project has been in the works for quite some time and that she and the band are finally ready to release their collection of soulful songs to her eagerly-awaiting fan base. PaviElle's Album Release Soiree, with special guest Ashley Gold, will take place Saturday, September 13th, 2014 at Icehouse in Minneapolis. Doors open at 9:30 PM with music at 10 PM, entry is 21+ with $10 advance tickets and $12 at the door. Don't miss your chance to see one of the Twin Cities' most recognizable professional soul singers!
A native to the Twin Cities, PaviElle has explored more realms of art than most artists have, being known for her writing, speaking, dancing, acting, speaking, singing, political activism, and much more. As an actress, PaviElle has staged a multitude of plays, including Steppingstone Theater's "Young MLK" in 1999, Ahanti Young's one-man piece, "Aklound Sowell" in 2012, and, most recently, Penumbra Theatre's "Black Nativity" in 2013. The soulful songstress has been professionally performing as a vocalist, songwriter, and pianist since 1989, and has performed with such names as Khalil Queen and Everyday People, Billy Holloman, Sinamn Jones, and EduPoetic Enterbrainment. After a 5-year break from the scene, PaviElle is finally bringing her distinctive style back to Twin Cities stages.
As her official bio states: "Her live show is a dynamic mix of original Neo-Soul tunes interspersed with her own unique interpretations of the music that has inspired her to create."
