ON CATALYST,FRIDAY JULY 27, 11am , KFAI,on CATALYST;politcs and culture, hear
a conversation with actor/playwright MATHEW VAKY talking about his
one-man play JESUS AT GUANTANAMO. This work is set in the infamous
prison, showing a Jesus anyone of us could know---unpretentious,
surprisingly humorous, and able to go to the heart of the
matter. Wonderfully written and beautifully performed, Vaky takes on US
torture in a way that can reach a widespread audience, while also
meditating on what Christianity is about at its core. Vaky will also
perform a bit of the play on the radio. Performance info below.
