This is a binding agreement (the "Agreement") between you or the entity that is using this software to listen to KFAI’s mp3 live stream ("you") and KFAI, Fresh Air Inc.("KFAI"). By using this MP3 Player, you hereby ACCEPT AND AGREE TO REFRAIN FROM DOWNLOADING ALL OR PARTS of the associated programming contained within this portion of MP3 live stream to which you will be linked after agreeing to and accepting the Agreement.

On Tuesday, July 27th, William Powers calls in to discuss his much talked about book Hamlet's Blackberry: A Practical Philosophy for Building a Good Life in the Digital Age. Publisher's Weekly has called it "Incisive. . . Refreshing. . . Compelling.”

We'll also talk with Jarkko Sipila, one of the most widely crime fiction writers in Finland. His novel Against the Wall was the 2009 Winner of the Best Finnish Crime Novel. His latest book to be translated into English is Helsinki Homicide: Vengeance.

Kurtis Scaletta discusses Mamba Point, a book for middle-grade readers inspired by his childhood in Liberia. In a recent starred review, Kirkus Reviews called the book “A tale tinted with magical realism that is by turns scary and very funny.”

Award-winning children's book author John Coy also joins us to discuss his ongoing series for younger readers. John Coy is the author of 9 books ranging from picture books to young adult novels.

The incomparable author Erica Jong phones in to talk about her current work as well as her landmark novel, Fear of Flying. A novelist, poet, and essayist, Erica Jong has published 20 books, including eight novels, six volumes of poetry, six books of non-fiction and numerous articles in magazines and newspapers such as the New York Times, the Sunday Times of London, and the New York Times Book Review.

Also on Tuesday's show we interview children's book author and illustrator Lisa Jahn-Clough. Her books include Alicia Has a Bad Day and Little Dog, as well as the young adult novels Me, Penelope and Country Girl/City Girl. She currently teaches at Hamline University in the Low-Residency MFA Writing for Children program.
