University of Minnesota School of Music presents BALKANICUS - the Seventh Annual Concert of Balkan Contemporary Chamber Music

At the concert you will enjoy new chamber music from Albania, Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey performed by leading musicians from the Twin Cities such as Philip Zawisza (bass-baritone), John de Haan (tenor), Nickolai Kolarov (cello), Fernando Meza (percussions), Patrick O'Keefe (clarinet), Jill Dawe (piano) and Antonia Daskalova (piano).

All of the pieces are American premieres of works by composers of different generations, styles and musical language but all united by 'spiritus balkanicus'.
