Thanks to David Cummings, host of KFAI's Rockin' In Rhythm for sitting in with me this afternoon.

It was part 2 of our 6th annual "Dearly Departed" show in which we pay tribute to and play music by artists who passed away last year. Part 1 aired on David's show on Monday (also available on the archives).

We only scratched the surface of artists who passed away last year, but we were able to get in a variety of genres ranging from rockabilly to reggae, rock and blues to twangy stuff and New Orleans.

Gary Burger of the legendary band The Monks was my special guest this afternoon on our garage rock special.

Also joining in on the hijinks were Steve Kaul of The Brass Kings, Joe Holland of The Fuck Knights, Keith Patterson of Kinda Kinky and tons of other bands, and Angie Pykonen host of KFAI's "In Your Ear"

What a fun afternoon. We spent it rockin' out, laughing, and chatting with Gary about the history of The Monks.
