5/16/2007 Echo Chamber
Tonight's show highlighted two excellent dub record labels: Jarring Effects from France and Tanty Records from the U.K. Between these 2 labels we filled an hour with "10 tons of dub". This was precipitated by receiving a bunch of promo CDs from Jarring-Effects, and the the new "Roots of Dub Funk V.6" from Tanty. But the good doctors of dub were just getting started... Also on the menu today were "Essential Dub" (a new ROIR compilation), "10 Ft. Ganja Plant Presents" (a ROIR reissue with 2 bonus tracks), and the new "Healing of the Nation" EP (Miracle Sounds/Echo Beach) from Noiseshaper. Finally, we filled this dub-heavy show with the likes of Burning Spear, The Supersonics, Sinead O'Connor, Dubblestandart, Ott, Stingers ATX, Doktor Kosmos, King Tubby, Messian Dread, Prince Far I, and more...
