Poquito y Bueno's July 23 "webcast only" show features an interview (the first in a three-part series) with our own Big Daddy of Flamenco, Minnesota-born guitarist Michael Hauser. We decided to present a "condensed history of solo flamenco guitar music" to accompany the interview series, and for this show we begin with recordings made when solo flamenco guitar-playing began. (Before this time, the guitar was used only to accompany the singing.) This segment presents the "toque" (the playing) of those whom we would now call the "old guys," the ones who wrote the falsettas that are still being played today!
