5/9/2007 Echo Chamber
Another dub-heavy installment of the Echo Chamber... And tonight we did something a bit out of the ordinary -- we featured a bunch of live recordings, including All India Radio live in Chicago 2007, Mad Professor live in Chicago 2007, and Jah Wobble live in Holland 1983. Swiss also included a track from Open Season that was recorded live. The half-hour All India set was the first live recording done by our good pal TurnTableTerrorist (Terry C.) from Echo Beach (WLUW-FM, Chicago). The Mad Professor track was a quick taste of the second show Terry recorded (a bigger segment of the show is planned for a later date). As for the Wobble & Invaders of the Heart live track, it was recorded from Dutch radio back in '83 and made available by Wiel on the Jah Wobble list. (Email me for more information.) On top of all this live stuff, we debuted the new "Roots of Dub Funk V.6" on Tanty Records, featuring tracks from Doctor Echo, Unitone, and Bajimba vs. Joe Ariwa. Finally, we packed in a lot more heavy stuff from the likes of: Mang Dub, Michael Arkk, Abassi All Stars, Pama International, The Aggrolites, Public Property, Up,Bustle,& Out, Flykicks, The Dynamos, Manu Sound, Easy Star All Stars, Subatomic Sound System...and more.
