Three Minneapolis City COuncilmembers (Paul Ostrow, Ralph Remmington, Don Samuels) have made proposals that would drastically change the Minneapolis Charter (the City's "Constitution") concentrating more power in the Cuoncil and the Mayor and ELIMINATING 2 boards: the Estmation & Taxatoin Board and the Parks & recreation Board. Another proposal would create a new appointed office City co-oridnator who answers only to the Mayor.
MAY 1: Hear CAROL BECKER a member of the Estimates & Taxation Board--which determines proerty taxes, borrows money for the City and does audtis for fraud in City departments
MAY 8: Hear ANNIE YOUNG a member of the Parks and Rec Board and is a member of the Green Party
