Terms and Conditions

Please read this Agreement carefully before using the KFAI MP3 Player (the "Giving System"). This is a binding agreement (the "Agreement") between you or the entity that is using this software to listen to KFAI’s mp3 live stream ("you") and KFAI, Fresh Air Inc.("KFAI"). By using this MP3 Player, you hereby ACCEPT AND AGREE TO REFRAIN FROM DOWNLOADING ALL OR PARTS of the associated programming contained within this portion of MP3 live stream to which you will be linked after agreeing to and accepting the Agreement.

Tonight, as part of KFAI's fall pledge drive, the Echo Chamber presented "The French Dub Connection" special. The main ingredient of the program was great modern dub and roots from the likes of High Tone, Kaly Live Dub, Volfoniq, Mayd Hubb, Piratedub, Kanka, Dubphil, Zenzile, Fedayi Pacha, Barbes.D, Löbe, Lao, Twelve, Tu Shung Peng, and others. Then we added some great vintage roots from the late Serge Gainsbourg (with Sly & Robbie, the I-Threes, and others). On top of this DJ Baby Swiss added some French ska sounds from Moon Hop, Lord Skalipsoul & the Skalibu All Stars, and Two Tone Club. Finally, that French ambiance was brought home with selections & segues from Winston McAnuff (with R-Wan), Baguette Quartette, and Dan "Daddy Squeeze" Newton and the Cafe Accordion Orchestra. And of course making an appearance was the inscrutable Inspector Clouseau. Vive la France!
