Amy Ray is a singer-songwriter, musician, member of the well-known contemporary folk duo Indigo Girls, founder of the indy label Daemon Records
and a human rights activist that includes Queer, Native American and Enviromental issues.
Her new solo CD, "Didn't It Feel Kinder" was released August 2008 and she is currently touring the country.

In "Didn't It Feel Kinder," Amy Ray's third solo recording and most ambitious independent effort to date, the singer-songwriter's style and lyricism reflects her many musical influences, breaking new ground for avid Indigo Girls followers and her solo career fans alike.

“In musical terms, I didn’t even really know what I wanted this record to be. I knew I wanted it to be a wide-open vista, the prairie at twilight, a mountain road at 3am, a heartbreaking news broadcast. John Killacky was a host on Fresh Fruit in the early years and currently serves as program officer for arts and culture for The San Francisco Foundation.

He previously served as executive director of the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts for six years and was curator of performing arts for the Walker Art Center for eight years. John has also served as a panelist, lecturer, and consultant for a broad range of arts and funding organizations, written numerous publications on the arts and written and directed several award-winning short films and videos.
