Art Iluminates Conversation About Race and Rape

Jamila Anderson is a Twin Cities area performer who has been acting on local stages for sixteen years.  Like every other actor, she has learned her lines and played the roles assigned to her.

But this weekend at Phoenix Theater, she is taking control of the stage as a producer and curator to enlist eight other artists who will guide a necessary conversation about the intersection of race and rape culture.

Shows are at 8pm on Friday, November 18 and Saturday, November 19th, and at 4pm on Sunday, November 20th.

Jamila Anderson appeared on the KFAI show Latino Alt Rock, and told host Pablo Miranda about the performance, which is called #RRRiot: Race and Rape Culture.
