Policing The Police: Resources For The Public

Some people are campaigning to require Minneapolis police officers to carry professional liability insurance as an independent accountability mechanism. A grassroots organization is advocating to require all Minneapolis law enforcement to have more financial responsibility through personal liability insurance.

This campaign team is convinced that police misconduct has no place in our city—or anywhere else in the United States. They have collected over 12,000 signatures from community members in Minneapolis, earning the Police Insurance Amendment a spot on the ballot this November.

Michelle Gross of the Communities United Against Police Brutality and CopWatch Minneapolis joined KFAI's Rico Morales along with Andrew Henderson to speak about these attempts to educate and organize the public about how to legally and properly photograph, record videos, and archive incidents of all kinds.
