After Ramadan: It's Somali Week!

In early July, thousands people of Somali heritage who live here in Minnesota will stage their largest community event of the year - it called Somali Week.

One of the organizations behind Somali Week is a group called Ka Joog - started almost ten years ago to focus on directing Somali youth towards higher education and positive influences.

Daud Mohamed is Ka Joog’s Director of Community Outreach and Chairman of Somali Week.  He stopped by KFAI's Morning Blend to talk with Mike Fischbein, who asked how big Somali Week is going to be.
