The Mighty Mofos' Batson Bros. Spin with Cyn

Legendary local rockers the Mighty Mofos’ Bill and Ernie Batson join KFAI Spin with Cyn  this Tuesday from 10 – noon! They perform the first “KFAI Benefits with Friends” Saturday, February 7 at Turf Club, topping off the night with their always intense, super-sonic set of fantastic rock.

The Mighy Mofos have been rocking hard since 1984, before that as The Hypstrz, and King Kustom and The Kruisers before that, the Batson Brothers are one of the founding rock bands of our great music scene, They’ve made people dance, rocking the Twin Cities earliest music clubs such as Jay’s Longhorn Bar, the underground Podany’s and Uncle Sam’s when it transitioned into First Avenue. They continue to perform with the most massive energy and excellent musicianship.

Get ready to “Shake Some Action” Tuesday, as Ernie and Bill Batson rock your socks off sharing music of artists who inspire them, and tell stories of the Minneapolis punk and garage rock scene early days. Bands that inspire them include MC5, The Who, The Small Faces, The Ramones, The Sonics and more. As they "Spin with Cyn" you’ll get a taste of what's to come when they rock the Turf Club stage Saturday night, at the KFAI Benefit.

The Mighty Mofos take the stage at 11 p.m. Before them are: X-Boys, Flamin' Oh's and the return of Michael Yonkers, solo with all new songs. The KFAI Benefit kicks off at 7 p.m. with DJ Danny Sigelman spinning from 7 - 8 p.m. when Yonkers takes the stage. Ian Rans and Cyn Collins host. The show is sponsored by PBR.
