Cyn Collins is a local music writer and author of West Bank Boogie. Collins is also a KFAI volunteer and can be heard filling in as host on various shows. In the following Who's Spinning Who feature, Collins' talks to local recording engineer and producer Tom Herbers about some of his favorite songs, both current and classic.

This episode of Who’s Spinning Who features special guest Tom Herbers, Third Ear Recording engineer and producer for over 15 years. Herbers has engineered and produced for musicians from The Honeydogs, and The Magnolias to Low, Ben Weaver and Los Lobos. His most recent recording projects include Charlie Parr’s, and The Painted Saints recently released CDs. Herbers recently lost his studio space, and is looking for a new studio. In the meantime, he’s continuing his work at other studios around town, and is available for projects. Herbers does live sound for the Electric Arc Radio Show and recording it for radio broadcast, and is working on writing history of local recording studios.
