Today we listened to Irish group Lunasa. The music was from a concert on March 16 2006, at the Cedar Cultural Center. Recording engineer was Chris Dronen, the show was edit by Dan Rein. We also heard music from Sikkil Mala, and Nirmala Rajasekar Recorded at the Twin Cities Hindu Temple in October 2008 by Dan Rein. We also heard music from a new release by Margot Leverett and the Klezmer Mountain Boys (Traditional Crossroads), Accordion super group, The Accordion Tribe (intuition), Irish fiddle music from Manus McGuire(shelly river music), music from Tibet’s Gyoto Monks recorded live at the Cedar Cultural Center in 2007. The show was recorded by Mario Vano, and edited by Dan Rein. We finished the show with a womens song from the Touareg of Algeria (Al Sur).
Another typical Echo Chamber mix of roots, dub, and eclectic fun. Brand new dub from Volfoniq; Eating Betty’s excellent new Every Spoil a Dub; the latest roots classic Jah Is Real from Burning Spear; the fine new Nostradamus album from Winston McAnuff; a new Lucky Dube restrospective (on Ryko); and the cool
roots vibe of See-I’s Mean Joe Green.
