Big thanks to Justin Roth:http://www.myspace.com/justinrothmusic, who came in this morning and played live. He had a show at the Acadia the next day, just before a trip out of town for a bit. If you haven’t seen him live, be sure to check out his web page to see when you’ll have your next chance. It’s worth it just to see him play his excellent composition Bagshot Row live.
Today we began with a concert by local Hindustani singer Pooja Goswami and Pavan recorded in January 2007 at the local Hindu Temple. We also heard music for the Ethiopian Krar (JVC and Wergo), also live tracks from Huun Huur Tu and Tinariwen, we were joined by local musician Maryam Yosefzadeh and heard music from Luristan Iran by Ahmad-Ali Rezai (Mahoor), Music from Mazandaran by Ahmad Mosenpoor (Mahoor), music from Korea (JVC).
