From Gomo Park to Roots Ista Posse, from Dubcall to Muflon Dub Sound System, tonight’s show was stuffed with excellent new dubs… Starting out the show, and hit twice more later in the show, was the featured new EP Mutan Records vs. Robots (on Mutan:http://www.mutan.de).
Traditional and new music from Cuba and Puerto Rico, along with jazz, all elements of the Timba music of Tiempo Libre which premieres its Rumba Sinfonica this weekend. Show includes two live interviews with group members!
Big thanks to Justin Roth:http://www.myspace.com/justinrothmusic, who came in this morning and played live. He had a show at the Acadia the next day, just before a trip out of town for a bit. If you haven’t seen him live, be sure to check out his web page to see when you’ll have your next chance. It’s worth it just to see him play his excellent composition Bagshot Row live.
