Caponi Art Park is a natural and artistic oasis in Eagan, Minnesota. The park is the vision of Tony Caponi, who literally carved it out of his own back yard. Caponi Art Park is open to the public seasonally, May through October, from 9am to 7pm. Summer programs like Family Fun Tuesdays are scheduled from June through August. For more information, visit Caponi Art Park on facebook, or go to caponiartpark.org.
The highlight of tonight’s show was a double dose of great new reggae from ROIR: 10 Ft. Ganja Plant’s “Shake Up the Place” and from Brazil, Digitaldub’s “#1”. To celebrate these releases on ROIR, along with Kevin Kinsella’s brand new “Great Design”, we did an extended ROIR set. Straight from today’s headlines, we debuted the new “London’s Burning” from Big Youth (produced by Mad Professor on Ariwa). And from the upcoming Earthshaker 3 album, The Technician dropped the heavy “Liquefaction Dub” on the Echo Chamber massive.
Tonight’s program is an eclectic mixture of new and old French music from many countries. We start with a new collection of French reggae by artists from France, Nigeria, Réunion, and Bénin from Radio France Internationale. In the second half of the program, various artists sing their versions of standard French songs.
