A heavyweight dubwise program with tons of new stuff…and a celebration of Pi Day. Starting out with the freshest rootical dub album History, Mystery, Destiny from Ital Horns Meets Bush Chemists Featuring Rico. This was followed by crucial new material from Dubzoic (on Irie On Air); Stand High Patrol with the album Midnight Walkers and the new “United We Stand” 12” from Original Bass Foundation (OBF) with Kenny Knots. And DJ Baby Swiss did his special “Happy Pi Day” mix for the 3rd hour: where the album order of the tracks was 3,1,4,1,5,9,2,6, and 5. Oh, and it included the track “Pi” from Kate Bush (Yup…).

Liberty Finch from The Pop Shop sits in for Cyn this week. It’s an all-local show, featuring Minnesota musicians participating in SXSW.

Two by two, hard-boiled. Two tales of the silly noir type, starring Black Jack Justice and his partner, Trixie Dixon. Both from Decoder Ring Theatre in Canada.

Back in the Saddle

Chicago Choir boy turned Gangster’s son turned rugged outdoorsman Frankie Laine, the sleepy, Sleazy bedroom music of The Mystic Moods Orchestra, a super set of over mitt, organ action, including a request for Jimmy Smith’s “Ape Women” and a Penthouse Pet.
