Roots, roots, roots… After a couple of weeks of surfin’ and loungin’ at the tiki bar, the doctors of dub returned to the heavy roots and dub that are the foundation of the Echo Chamber. From the Aggrovators’ Johhny In The Echo Chamber album, to the Ital Roots Players’ I Dream of Marijuana, the night was a dubbers delight.
Tonight the doctors of dub returned to the twangy, camp sounds of the Dub Club Tiki Bar…as we pulled out all the fresh leftovers for part 2 of our Echo Beach end-of-summer special. More surf guitar, funky organs, James Bond, Ken Nordine, and Brazilian beats too. Ahh…but this week we mashed in a lot more dub as well…including part 1 of a fantastic mix from Tokyo Tower (put together specifically for our pal Terry C. at Echo Beach on WLUW).
