University of Minnesota School of Music Presents Guest Recital: Patrick Crossland, Theater Pieces for Solo Trombone

Guest artist Patrick Crossland will perform in recital.

Trombonist Patrick Crossland was born in Jackson, Mississippi. Growing up in southern Louisiana, he began playing trombone at age 10. His musical study continued at the University of Southern Mississippi (BM, magna cum laude), the Manhattan School of Music (MM), the Royal College of Music (Postgraduate Diploma, with distinction), the University of Minnesota (DMA), and the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik – Trossingen (Solistische Ausbildung). His trombone instructors include Dr. Robert Schmalz, Dr. Marta Hofacre, Dr. Per Brevig, Peter Bassano, Lindsey Shilling, Thomas Ashworth, Mike Svoboda, and Abbie Conant. Complete biography.
