The 6th annual AIA MN Home By Architects Tour will be held Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22, 2013 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day. The tour currently features a record number of 23 new and remodeled homes located throughout the Twin Cities, greater Minnesota and western Wisconsin, all designed by registered architect members of the American Institute of Architects Minnesota (AIA MN). Additional homes may be added to the roster.
Visitors to the AIA MN Homes By Architects Tour can meet the architect and learn firsthand about the design process. Homeowners on this tour researched firms and met with many architects to find the one which matched their visions. The homes showcase the talents of local architects and how the diverse and collaborative visions of homeowners and architects can play out in home design. Each of the homes on this tour features a range of design styles and techniques.
Tickets will go on sale online in August 2013 for $15 in advance (until 4 p.m. on September 20). They will also be available at each home on the tour during the weekend for $20 for a full ticket or $10 for an individual home.
