Patrick Noon, curator of the new MIA exhibition, "Delacroix and the Moderns", will speak on the November 3 "Bonjour Minnesota".

Patrick Noon, curator of the new, hit Exhibition, "Delacroix and the Moderns",  will be a guest on "Bonjour Minnesota" this Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at 8:00PM.  Mr. Noon will speak of the painter, known for his exotic, dashing works of the Romantic Movement.   The new element in this exhibition will be of the great influence that Delacroix had on those artists following him.  In addition to many beautiful works by Delacroix, there are many by the Impressionists, the Post-Impressionists and further to the moderns.  We will hear how Delacroix can be considered "the father of the moderns".

The exhibition shows the direct link formed, starting with Delacroix, down to Monet, Degas, Van Gogh, Gauguin, Cézanne and even Kandinsky.  Join us for this interesting program and follow up with a visit to the Minneapolis Institute of Art.
